Why Isn’t My Mali Uromastyx Eating Vegetables?

I got him about a week ago and I tried to give him turnip greens, carrots, and other types of vegetables but he won’t touch any of them. He will, however, eat crickets and looks like he enjoys them. Wikipedia says they are mainly herbivores. Can suggest some good vegetables that he might eat? Otherwise, I’m going to have to take him back; I don’t want him to die because of me.

Malis are also seed eaters, try some small bird food..you want to very rarely feed a mali crickets no matter how much they enjoy them, wax worms meal worms and other worms can also be given…rarely..Try a green leaf lettuce or a red leaf lettuce…and make sure your temp is around 100 degrees, and never keep a water bowl with a mali..it can cause humidity in their tank and worse…tail rotting…rinse your veggies thoroghly and leave the water drops on there that will be sufficient enough for her…good luck!

Check your temperature they need to be very warm. Younger lizards eat more bugs.
