96% of a cucumber is water, so it would depend on the quality of the farmer’s water… and does the cucumber biologically filter the water? i imagine it would, biology tends to be efficient that way

Plants do not take in bacteria as far as the water is concerned. Washing them is a good idea to get off any bacteria on the outside.
They are using some plants to filter water from landfills. We do not eat fruit or vegetables from them.
In Israel they are using potatoes to get salt out of the soil that they have gotten from the sea. Already salted potato chips.
In areas where human fertilizer is used in the soils , root vegetables are soaked in dilute chlorox to kill bacteria.
You can get some water from fruits and vegtables, but drinking water is necessary also.

I believe eating certain vegetables (such as celery cucumbers etc.) is a good way to consume fresh water but only certain types.

How much filtering a plant does to water depends on what is in the water and what kind of plant it is.
But there’s no real substitute for water – the best thing you can do is just drink it.

depends on how many pesticides and steroids are in the veggie; many as they use these days, you might as well drink from a tap

it’s a good way to get water, but yeah… i’m more worried about the quailty of the water. but normally, it’s okay. if it was bad water the food wouldn’t look right. Good point.

its just the biology of the cucumber. it would depend on farmer’s water and the amount of rain. though it can be a good way to get water its not enough compared to drinking actual water. just keep drinking water as well. your body needs so much water because it gets absorbed by your organs first and helps keep u hydrated.

    veggies give only LITTLE water.
drink regular water if you wanna get hydrated.
veggies make you strong and healthy.

There are better ways to get water, but vegetables is a way to do it. A cucumber may be mostly water, but that doesn’t mean that it’s enough water. Also, a cucumber will filter the water to some degree, but plants can get sick just like us. Bacteria can get into the plants through the water and will infect the cucumber, thus tainting any water you get from it.
