Fruit and some veggies have carbs. You need to stick to a good diet like weight watchers. I don’t think you are overweight. But, you need to have a variety of things. I drink Lipton Green tea, diet of course, so good for you, oatmeal for breakfast. Lean Cuisine dinners and Weight watchers dinners. Diet or fat free or sugar free puddings, applesauce, Mandarin oranges, I live off of this stuff.
You cannot eat too much fruits & vegetables as they contain a lot of carbs. Instead you need a varied diet. Complement your diet with good fats (fish, whole grains, avocado), lean meat, eggs, skim milk and instead of eating 3 times a day, eat 6 times a day in smaller proportions. This will increase your metabolism and keep your hunger under control. For better results, instead of working out 30 minutes a day, try to go for at least 45 minutes. With this kind of diet you should lose noticeable weight in a few months.
your body needs more than that to function my dear!!! wheres the protein?
Many of our specialized bodily functions occur because of proteins that interact in chemical reactions in our blood. Blood clotting is dependent on many proteins working together in a complex series of reactions. Our immune systems use sophisticated proteins called antibodies in cooperation with supporting protein agents to keep us safe from harmful infections and to protect us from cancer. Even our DNA uses proteins to reproduce and synthesize more DNA and to carry out the instructions encoded in the DNA to make other cellular materials, including more proteins.
An essential protein and a major component of blood is albumin. This critical protein helps us keep just the right amount of water inside our arteries and veins. Without it, we would either swell or shrivel depending on what we have eaten and our environmental conditions. Gravity would cause fluid to pool in our legs, swelling them to many times normal size if it were not for the albumin in our blood.
you will lose quite alot of weight but, you will be very unhealthy
Don’t listen to these people.
People whom eat just fruits and veggies are some of the healthiest alive. I LIVE off fruits and vegetables, and its been over a year since I’ve been sick! (Turned vegetarian a year ago).
In just the first 2 days of eating nothing but fruits and veggies I lost a needed 3 pounds. From then on I kept losing all the excess weight I needed to, 25lbs! This was all within a 2 month period.
Still think about keeping your body active in that time too…eating a low calorie diet is no excuse not too.. I’d say take about a 45 minute to an hour walk everyday if you can. You’ll have more energy and feel better all around.
I watched a programme where this woman just ate apples for a whole week and she lost 2 pounds – nothing!
I’d say you would lose weight but not in a healthy way – the body needs nutrients and just fruit doesnt supply the right kind.
You would get headaches because fruit contains sugars and acid..
Eat normally just cut out carbs as much as you can and contain the exercise – thats the best way to lose weight.
Hope this helps!
you can’t live off of just fruits and vegetables you need other vitamins and nutrients.
edit:

impossible to say. avocados have a lot of calories, as do coconuts and dried fruits, nuts. presumably you would lose something eventually, but it’s impossible to say how much, and, moreover, if it would be lasting.
