Depends..if you eat protein with it…such as beans etc..it could be ok. You might get a little bound up though….at first…and gassy.
I don’t think it is healthy…but that is my opinion There are many vegans that say it is good.
I have seen fat vegans too…so it isn’t the diet…it is the food. Some veggies have way too much sugar…you have to watch.
Protein though makes you feel more satisfied..so make sure you get nuts and beans etc. It also helps build more muscle….
Two weeks though shouldn’t hurt you too much…just get some protein. You might want to consider eggs…that is not meat and it is full of protein…
not healthy at all. only vegetables does not meet all of your nutritional needs. You most likely will lose weight, but it depends on your current size. Also, it’s all about portion size! You can have too much of a good thing. It also depends on the manner that these vegetables are prepared. fried, breaded, etc. is not going to be much healthier. Steaming is the best, the broiling, the boiling. Add some seasoning and you’re good to go
just a note to the person posting above, vegetables are NOT unhealthy for your digestive system. They are one of the best things. And protein is good to help keep you fuller longer, however, longer term high amounts of protein have been associated with renal dysfunction and failure.
I am a registered dietititan.
Well it’s not healthy considering you won’t be meeting your caloric needs.
Also, eating only vegetables for that long will be very bad for your digestive system. Vegetables are already difficult to process. You’ll get bad gas for sure ( i’m talking uncontrollable gas ).
However, if you choose a healthy diet and incorporate a lot of vegetables, it will definitely result in weight loss.
Eating vegetables will help you lose weight. Eating ONLY vegetables isn’t such a good idea. You need to have a certain number of calories a day (calculate your BMR on http://www.caloriesperhour.com) and it’s really hard to get that many calories on only vegetables.
Protein has been shown to be a big help in weight loss. Not only does it help you stay full longer, it’s harder for your body to digest and your body doesn’t store protein like it does carbs.
No, it’s very unhealthy and you will probably do yourself some harm.
Vegetables contain fewer calories than other foods. This means that you can only consume a certain number without feeling full, whereas you could eat a lot more calories eating fast food.
