Can I Lose Weight Without Eating Vegetables?
Help! Medically, I can no longer tolerate most vegetables, which were my staples previously. Yet, I need to lose weight, also for medical reasons. Any suggestions?

If a physician told you that you can no longer tolerate most vegetables, and a physician told you that you need to loose weight, he/she/they should be able to give you better dietary advice than we (on Yahoo! Answers) can. They know more about your conditions than we do.
Having said that, I should acknowledge what some of the others have said is accurate. To lose weight, your energy output needs to exceed your energy input. That is, your body needs to burn more calories from activities, including exercise, than your body absorbs from food. Generally, aerobics exercises, such as distance jogging, running, rowing, cross-country skiing, swimming, bicycling help with weight management.
here is the formula for the world best diet! it works 100% of the time and is absolutely safe for ALL people.
1) Eat less calories than you use
2) Use more calories than you eat.
In other words, eat less and exercise more. This WILL guarantee you a weight loss. But if you are losing more than 2-3 pounds A WEEK, then you are losing weight too fast, and potentially damaging your body.
Unless you have a disease that is aggravated by food (diabetes, celiac disease, allergies) then the question is not WHAT you eat, but HOW MUCH.
You must ALWAYS maintain a healthy diet (you need to see your doctor concerning supplement for the viramins, minerals, and fiber you miss by not eating vegetables), but in order to lose weight you need to eat LESS OF IT.
And you MUST get more exercise. Exercise burns calories, and so allows you to eat more of the things you like.
The BEST exercise is just walking. that exercise the largest muscles in your body — the thighs — and thus burns the most calories with the least effort. If you have trouble exercising, try to work you way up to the point that you can walk two miles a day. if that is not possible, see a physical therapist for options better suited to you.
If you follow these two simple rules, you WILL lose weight, and you will lose it wafely, and the weight is more likely to STAY OFF as your body and min become used to the new, better, healthier lifestyle.
Can’t consume vegetables…? That’s unusual. I hope you can still take fruits though. For your diet changes, eat more fish and white meat (avoid red meat like beef), and go easy on the sweets. Avoid greasy food like burgers. If you’re craving snacks try yogurt, fruits, or whole wheat cereals, but a glass of water can sometimes suffice in between meals. Monitor sugar intake. Exercise regularly, like jogging around the neighborhood.
Increasing your fiber intake is also a good idea, and methods to do this include drinking some fruit juices like pineapple juice or taking supplements. Oatmeal also helps in decreasing the amount of fat your body absorbs.
I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.
its going to be hard…but you will have to be more creative…thats all.
a single serving of tuna is 90 calories…about…plus mayo. use less mayo and make sure its light and one slicec of bread and eat an open faced sandwich…some apples and water for the side…and maybe a yogurt. thats a pretty decent meal…and not a lot of calories.
